VINTAGE
The 2022 growing season was blessed by late winter rains that replenished our soil moisture as the vines emerged from dormancy. A cold spring led to a slower start for the vines, but we avoided any frost danger. Summer growing conditions were exceptional, with consistent weather and blue skies ushering in a Goldilocks summer that was not too hot and not too cold. We are thrilled with the quality of the grapes from the outstanding 2022 vintage.
WINEMAKING
The artistry behind our Sangiovese Rosato begins with a strategic harvest, selecting the grapes approximately two weeks prior to the red wine harvest from the same vineyard block. This intentional timing captures vibrant fruit flavors and an energetic essence that defines our Rosato. The process unfolds with a gentle destemming and berry crushing before the grapes make their way to the press. Here, a meticulous and extended pressing cycle extracts the beautiful juice that forms the foundation of our Rosato. The subsequent fermentation is a slow and deliberate journey, carried out at cool temperatures to preserve the wine's brilliant aromatics. This meticulous approach, from harvest to fermentation, is a testament to our commitment to crafting a Sangiovese Rosato that encapsulates the essence of vibrant fruit and captivating aromatics.

The Sangiovese Rosato captivates with its stunning salmon-pink hue.
