VINTAGE
The 2022 growing season was blessed by late winter rains that replenished our soil moisture as the vines emerged from dormancy. A cold spring led to a slower start for the vines, but we avoided any frost danger. Summer growing conditions were exceptional, with consistent weather and blue skies ushering in a Goldilocks summer that was not too hot and not too cold.  We are thrilled with the quality of the grapes from the outstanding 2022 vintage.

WINEMAKING
Introducing the second vintage of Tenaci, inspired by the Italian words for tenacity, perseverance, and resilience. This Teroldego-based blend embodies the spirit of its namesake, a testament to strength and endurance. Aged in neutral barrels, each sip reflects the careful craftsmanship and dedication that define this exceptional wine. Here's to the enduring qualities that make Tenaci a true expression of resilience. Saluti!

TASTING NOTES
The 2022 Tenaci shows a deep garnet hue and an intense, focused nose of blackcurrant, plum skin, graphite, and savory layers of dried herbs, espresso, and cracked pepper. On the palate, it’s firm and resolute.

Teroldego delivers dense black fruit and bright acidity, Sangiovese adds red cherry and floral lift, and Sagrantino brings muscular tannin and a bitter chocolate edge. Powerful yet balanced, Tenaci is built for the table—or the cellar.

PAIRINGS
Best with Braised Short Ribs, Wild Boar Ragù, Grilled Eggplant with Herbs, or aged cheeses like Asiago or 18 month Gouda.
